China’s best kept Royal Garden – YiHeYuan Summer Palace

Built in 1750 and rebuilt in 1886, the Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) is Empress Dowager Cixi‘s favourite royal garden. The palace is a vast imperial garden in Beijing.

Today you can reach the Summer Palace by taking subway line 4 to the Yiheyuan stop and walking from there.
