August is the fruit fiesta month in Malaysia. Plenty local fruits fill the local market and weekend Tamu. The stinky smell of Durian, the king of fruits, fills almost every household in Malaysia. A variety of menu in Malaysia serves Durian in local kopitiam, like Durian bubur, Durian cendol, Durian cakes and so on.
The flesh pictured above is yellow with sweet taste. This is one of the best kampong variety in Sabah, named Tambaga. No pesticides at all.
This bunch’s flesh is white with bittersweet taste. Before I could take pictures of the flesh, my family has finished the plate. They are just too delicious, as long as you love the smell.
