
Nowadays, it is common to simply purchase Chinese New Year cookies from the marketplace. However, during this remarkable time, why not bake your own this year? This is my favourite peanut cookies recipe. It is easy to master yet crunchy in your mouth.
You may change the ground nuts to any type of nuts you prefer. It’s flexible.
BAKE CHINESE NEW YEAR PEANUT COOKIES RECIPE
This is a less sweet healthy recipe.

Ingredients
- 215g cake flour
- 170g imported salted butter
- 110g ground almond & peanut powder (you may just change to any nut)
- 35g full cream milk powder
- 70g brown sugar
- 65g egg
Simple steps
01 Preheat the oven at 180C.
02 Melt butter at room temperature. Then add in the sugar. Whisk well.
03 Add the egg slowly in three occasions. Beat it at quick pace until fully combined.
04 Sift the flour and the milk powder into the mixture. Fold together.
05 Add in ground almond & peanut powder. Blend the lard with the dry ingredient.
06 Lined the baking tray with baking paper. Take about 15g from the dough and place on the baking tray. Keep about 2cm distance between each cookie.
07 Bake for 20-25 minutes at 160C, until they turn a lovely shade of golden brown. If your cookie size is smaller, bake for lesser time. The dough can make about 70 pieces. Serve and enjoy your new year at home!

01 预热烤箱 180C.
02 软化奶油后,将糖加入。搅打均匀。我个人比较喜欢进口奶油的香气与奶味。
03 将全蛋搅散分三次加入,以快速打匀。记住:鸡蛋的分量一定要量好,不可偷懒。拿整粒鸡蛋充数。
04 将面粉及奶粉筛入奶油糊。拌合均匀。
05 之后,加入坚果粒。以不规则方向拌成均匀。
06 在烤盘上铺上油纸。取15g 的分量放在烤盘上。确保每一粒饼干的间距在2cm。
07 按160C 烘20-25分钟,或表面上有漂亮的金黄色。熄火后用余温焖 5-10分钟。取出散去热气后可以装瓶。
