A splash screen is the first thing your users will see when they launch your app or website. Therefore, it brings a great opportunity to make the first impression in under 3 seconds.

The best practices are:

1. Keep the design simple. The best way to capture attention is through simple animations.
2. Avoid auto-play videos. Overloading video will create anxiety.
3. No advertising.
4. Avoid multiple screens. Load only the essential data.
5. The splash screen is part of the entire app design, not separated.
6. Communicate your brand with proper visual. Visuals work better than taglines.
