Tea has a major influence on Chinese and Japanese culture. It is largely associated with literature, arts and philosophy. Tea drinking becomes an essential part of self-cultivation and re-vitalise oneself since the Tang Dynasty. Consequently, it develops into a cultural practice, the Tea Ceremony.

The Tea Ceremony (茶道) is an activity involving tea leaves, water, utensils, preparation and presentation of tea. Zen Buddhism is a primary influence in the practice. The spiritual principles are Harmony 和, Respect 敬, Purity 清 & Tranquility 寂.

What is a perfect moment for tea drinking? Any tea lover can enjoy the infusion of fragrance, taste and time for a perfect tea when the environment is right. The perfect moment emphasizes the atmosphere outside the hectic of daily life.
